Volunteering explained

Volunteering is an activity that someone chooses to do without being paid.

It can be formal or informal. Formal volunteering at a community organisation like the Wembley Baseball Club can be very meaningful and enjoyable.

Helping you feel part of the community, volunteering in kid's sport is very rewarding and beneficial but we also need volunteers for senior sport as well. However little or big, the contribution of volunteers helps build and strengthen sport and social gatherings in our community.

Social benefits of volunteering

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and build healthy relationships. It strengthens your ties to the community and exposes you to people with similar interests.

Volunteering also gives you the opportunity to practise and develop your social skills.
