Girls Can Play Baseball with launch of new Girls program
The Wembley Magpies Baseball Club is a community based baseball club and its success is attributable to the hard work and effort of volunteers – most of whom are parents of players – which we greatly appreciate and continue to welcome into the club community.
We encourage involvement and have all the resources available for those who may not have any previous experience with baseball.
Please note that registering your child as a player also means that as a parent you may be called upon to assist the team or club in various roles.
This may be coaching a team, managing a team, being involved in setup and teardown of equipment and fields, umpiring, being involved in fundraising events.
If you are not prepared to provide assistance then we advise that you locate a club that better suits your needs.
The baseball season runs from October through to March each year. A break is taken for Christmas, normally the week before Christmas and baseball resumes in February.
Pre-season training will normally commence in September each year.
Juniors normally have around 16 games per season depending on the baseball division.
Information on games schedules and fixtures is normally published in late September.
Registrations are open online from early August each year, closing in late September. Please ensure that you register early to secure a place in our teams.
Junior teams are limited to 12 players each, and those late to register may not secure a team place. In the event that there are too many registrants for the number of teams available then registration will be rescinded and club fees refunded. This will be done in order of last registration. It is therefore important to register as soon as possible.
If you miss out on a place, we will put you on our team list in case a spot later becomes available.
Team training is normally once a week and expected to start from the 1st week in September.
Players are expected to wear full training uniform, including long pants.
All Tee-ball, Little League, Junior League, Senior League and Big League games will be played on Saturdays.

Each player/parent is responsible for the Club issued jersey and must be returned to the club at the end of the season, please take care of your jersey!
